The North Carolina League of Conservation Voters is a pragmatic, non-partisan, advocacy organization dedicated to protecting, preserving, and enhancing North Carolina’s natural environment. For over 40 years, NCLCV has been turning environmental values into North Carolina priorities. We work to pass strong environmental laws at the North Carolina General Assembly, elect pro-conservation legislators, and hold lawmakers accountable for their actions. We employ a full time environmental lobbyist, publish the Legislative Scorecard, issue candidate endorsements, and actively work for the election of candidates committed to sound environmental policies through the Conservation PAC. The North Carolina League of Conservation Voters, a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization, was founded in 1968.
We release the Environmental Legislative Scorecard after every legislative session to inform the public and media of legislators’ votes for or against the environment. Please see our Scoring Legislators page to see current and past Scorecards.
