Weather records from 2020 shows climate change continues to charge forward in our state.
In 2020, most of North Carolina’s counties experienced both some of their wettest and their hottest years on record. Nearly all the state’s 100 counties were in their top 10% of annual records for both. The year set new records for average temperature in 17 counties, and for total precipitation in 20 counties.
The clock is ticking on our future.
