Early voting for the North Carolina primary elections started last Thursday, February 13, and will run through February 29, including the Saturdays of February 22 and 29. Some counties also offer Sunday voting hours. Find your county’s early voting times and places here (PDF).
Remember that during early voting, any North Carolinian eligible to vote can register or update their registration and then immediately vote in one stop at any early voting location in their county. Find out more about same-day registration from our partners at Democracy NC.
Check out who’s on your ballot before you go, and please be sure to consult our Conservation PAC (CPAC)’s endorsements of 11 legislative candidates in primaries across the state.
“2020 is our best opportunity to put our state on a path that will once again protect people instead of polluters,” said Carrie Clark, NCLCV executive director. “We are confident these candidates will be leaders in solving the climate crisis, establishing Clean Energy for All, and saving North Carolinians from the threat of GenX, coal ash, and hog waste contamination.”
CPAC had already endorsed Gov. Roy Cooper for re-election.
“Gov. Cooper’s environmental leadership has been a breath of fresh air for every North Carolinian, and he has more than lived up to the promise we saw in him four years ago,” said Clark. “His veto pen has stopped the General Assembly’s worst environmental legislation, and he has charted a bold path toward a clean energy future that will ward off the worst impacts of climate change.”
