Campaign Watch: LCV Endorses Manning for Congress
Last week, the national League of Conservation Voters (LCV) announced its endorsement of Kathy Manning in the race for North Carolina’s 13th Congressional District. The 13th is currently represented by Ted Budd, who is running for his second term.
In the announcement, LCV Action Fund senior vice president Tiernan Sittenfeld said of Manning, “In Congress, she will support North Carolina’s continued leadership in renewable energy and fight to make sure that every family in North Carolina has clean air to breathe and clean water to drink. We are proud to support her campaign for Congress.”
NCLCV executive director Carrie Clark added, “Kathy Manning is a proven leader and trusted environmental ally. She knows that there is nothing more important than the health and wellbeing of North Carolina’s families, and we look forward to working with her in Congress to ensure a cleaner and healthier North Carolina for generations to come.”
The 13th District is considered among the most competitive races for Congress this year.
