In addition to the state clean energy plan, you can speak out at the federal level. A new U.S. House bill would virtually eliminate climate change-causing carbon emissions and transition the United States to a completely clean energy economy by 2050.
The 100% Clean Economy Act of 2019 would:
- Require net-zero greenhouse gas emissions economy-wide
- Replace fossil fuels with wind, solar, and other clean sources of energy across all sectors of our economy, including transportation, power, and manufacturing
- Direct federal agencies to develop plans and use existing authorities to cut carbon pollution.
Click here to urge your member of Congress to co-sponsor the legislation. The more co-sponsors a bill has, the more likely it is to move through committees and to a vote on the House floor.
