The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) has released its analysis of U.S. Senate candidate Cal Cunningham and his clean energy positions. The review noted Cunningham’s role as a state legislator in passage of North Carolina’s Clean Smokestacks Act, which helped move the state away from reliance on dirty coal power plants. It also notes his strong support for solar and wind energy and his climate action plans.
The Cunningham piece is one of a series from SACE, which does not endorse candidates for public office. They have also reviewed Cunningham’s opponent, Sen. Thom Tillis, along with Gov. Roy Cooper and his opponent, Lt. Gov. Dan Forest.
Among the many positive aspects of Gov. Cooper’s record is his Clean Energy Plan. Thank him for fighting for us!
Sen. Tillis has an opportunity to improve his standing by sponsoring the Clean Economy Act. Urge him and Sen. Richard Burr to back it!
