New Report Shows Benefits of Billions Coming to North Carolina
A new Carolina Forward report details the $10.3 billion of federal investment in North Carolina under the Biden-Harris Administration, primarily in transportation, clean water infrastructure, clean energy, and manufacturing.
“[T]his public investment has unlocked an additional $41.8 billion in private investments, mainly in advanced manufacturing such as the Wolfspeed semiconductor plant in Chatham county, Toyota’s battery plant in Randolph county, and Corning’s optical cable manufacturing expansion in Catawba county, among dozens of others.”
The report includes a list of nearly 1,500 specific, ongoing county and municipal-level investments from the Biden-Harris administration’s Inflation Reduction Act and Infrastructure Plan.
And speaking of investment in addressing the climate crisis, don’t forget that EarthShare NC is hosting their inaugural NC Climate Week on September 30 through October 4. The NCLCV Foundation is sponsoring this inaugural event. See all the details at https://ncclimateweek.org/.
