Many environmental challenges, like water pollution and climate change, require action from our government. While the word “environment” can feel political, North Carolinians across the political spectrum agree on one thing: we all want clean air and clean water for our families, friends, and neighbors.
The Green Tie Awards honor North Carolina’s elected leaders who are championing a cleaner, more sustainable future for everyone in our state. It’s our way of recognizing their bold commitment to protecting our environment and communities.
We are proud to announce this year’s keynote speaker: Justice Anita Earls! In recent years, the NC Supreme Court has issued rulings that harm our environment and democracy. It is time for a proven champion like Justice Anita Earls.
