Education & Resources: North Carolina Could Soon Feel Like Florida or Mexico

Think North Carolina summers are already hot enough? Just wait a couple decades, and climate change will have you pining for the good old days of 2019.

According to an interactive map data prepared by researchers from the University of Maryland and NC State University, much of North Carolina could feel like the steamy Florida panhandle or northern Mexico within a generation. This tool helps to show why environmental advocates are calling for urgent action to control the expected changes.
