Broken Ground

broken

A new environmental podcast from the Southern Environmental Law Center, “Broken Ground,” will tell the stories of pressing environmental issues in the South. The first season will focus on the region’s energy landscape, featuring the problems and disasters of coal ash. The first two episodes of “Broken Ground” are out now, and can be found here.

This week’s episode tells the story of two North Carolina women who call themselves “The Real Housewives of Coal Ash” and the environmental disaster that “poisoned their water…and led them to take on their state’s biggest power company.”
