2016 In Review: Highlights and Lowlights of a Tumultuous Year for the Environment
We’ll wrap up this week by calling to our readers’ attention two year-in-review articles that sum up some of the highs and lows of 2016 for our environment.
First, there’s a “lowlights” look at the top ten “environmental fiascos” of the year in North Carolina. We’ll note that the author didn’t even get to the repeated attempts at yet more “regulatory reform” by our “friends” in the General Assembly. Fortunately, we’re hopeful of least a somewhat better day at the state level in North Carolina in 2017.
While the same cannot be said of Washington, there is still some hopeful news at the national level to reflect upon while starting 2017. The Washington Post calls them five big positive environmental stories from 2016.
