Executive Watch: Senate Confirms Regan, Hamilton to Cabinet

Last week, the NC Senate voted unanimously to confirm Governor Roy Cooper’s appointments to head the two state executive departments most responsible for protecting our clean air, water, and land resources.

Michael Regan will continue as head of the NC Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), while former House member Susi Hamilton will move forward as head of the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR).

DEQ contains the state’s efforts to regulate air and water pollution, while DNCR holds the state parks and natural heritage programs. NCLCV and other NC conservationists congratulate newly confirmed Secretaries Regan and Hamilton!
