Originally from a small town near San Diego, Meech (she/her) grew up in a rural town surrounded by sage scrub. Personally impacted by wildfires and droughts, Meech is interested in the intersection of conservation and renewable energy to promote landscape resiliency. Before joining NCLCV, Meech completed her Masters of Environmental Management at Duke and worked on mining law and policy at the Southern Environmental Law Center. Meech also holds a Master of Science in Law from Northwestern and a dual BS in biology and geology from UCLA. She hopes to take a holistic approach to energy advocacy, from ensuring folks have access to clean and affordable power to holding mining companies accountable for producing materials for energy storage. Outside of her work, she enjoys making pottery, throwing axes in her local league, and reading thriller novels.
