Conservationists: Nicole Stewart, New Raleigh City Council Member
Congratulations to our conservation colleague Nicole Stewart, a staff member with the NC Conservation Network, on her results from the recent municipal elections. By finishing in the top two spots for the at-large seats in the Raleigh voting on October 10, she will become one of Raleigh’s new City Council members when the winners are sworn in later this year. Her election was assured when the third-place finisher in the contest declined to call for a runoff on November 7. Congratulations Nicole!
