Campaign Watch: Municipal Elections Tomorrow (Nov.7)

Campaign Watch: Municipal Elections Tomorrow (Nov.7)

Key municipal election contests in cities and towns around North Carolina conclude tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. 7). Don’t forget to vote!

Asheville, Burlington, Charlotte, Durham, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Raleigh and more, including smaller towns in many counties, will wrap up hot contests for mayors and council members on November 7. Keep in mind that who we elect at the local level impacts issues such as stormwater and wastewater treatment, parks and greenways, tree save ordinances, recycling programs, and clean transportation alternatives.

Still unsure who’s on the ballot or what they stand for? If you live in Asheville, Charlotte, Greensboro, Fayetteville, or Raleigh, Democracy North Carolina has posted independent, non-partisan voter guides for your communities’ 2017 contests online here.
