Conservation Action: Help Get Out the Vote
Coal ash. GenX. Hog waste. A wind energy ban. Offshore drilling. Constitutional amendments which threaten our right to vote and to enjoy clean air and water. Common-sense health protections being rolled back left and right. A new climate report with dire warnings about our planet’s future.
“This election couldn’t be more important. Our future literally is at stake,” said Carrie Clark, Executive Director of the NC League of Conservation Voters (NCLCV). “If you’re as sick of the anti-environmental policies coming out of Raleigh and Washington as I am, then it’s your duty to do something about it.”
Here’s what you can do about it: sign up to volunteer at NCWins.org. You can canvass for good candidates door to door, call or text voters from anywhere, and find out more about what’s on the ballot.
It couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is fill in a few pieces of information about yourself, do a quick training, and then get started.
Early voting across the state opens this Wednesday, Oct. 17. Good volunteers like you will help decide the future of public health and the environment in North Carolina.
